I have a 1986 GT Mustang five speed and I wanted to install a pair of bolt on old school Lakewood ladder bars. I'm getting ready to install heavy duty frame rail connectors and could come up with a bracket to connect the front, back just bolts around the axle housing. I know I can install them I guess I just wanted to know if they will help. PS: the car is basically stock other than exhaust, 373 gears. Thanks.
Sounds like you're talking about traction bars, aka lift bars. Ladder bars are something different. (you literally cut the back half of the car out, weld in the rear frame with ladder bars and full tubs, then put in a sheetmetal floorboard. That's not the part you're talking about)
