Default 347 stroker that can pass SMOG

Yes, I'm from California where the EPA doesn't like cars. I was wondering if anyone know of a place where I can buy or have my old 302 ported for a 347 stroker that could pass SMOG. Wasn't sure if the stroker motors have space for an Egr valve and all that. If not, I'll just go with a street legal E303 cam with some gt40 heads, roller rockers, new push rods, and some ceramic headers from flomaster. Thanks for your time.

OMG! I must have been drunk when I posted this. I've been talkin about heads for the last couple of weeks and that just slipped! I meant bored and honed. Jesus, I could shoot myself. But as you all know, I'm the rookie.

All polution equipment on your 302 will work with a 347. Everything externally is the same size. Make sure your exhaust is 50 state legal when choicing headers.

AFR, TrickFlow, Edelbrock, and others make CARB-certified heads. You can also get CARB-certified aftermarket EFI intakes (if you're going with EFI), as well as CARB carbureted intakes. If you're gonna stroke the motor, I would seriously look into aftermarket intakes.

Beyond all that, I thought CA had a law where the car is exempt if it's 20+ years old. Anything made prior to 1995 should be exempt, right?

Default 1975 is CA magic Exempt year

"Cars that are gasoline powered 1975 year model and older are smog exempt in California."

My 1984 F150 4X4 still has to pass the CA rigid smog check every two years. That is why my go fast toys are 1970's vehicles...

get some afr 185 carb certified heads that have smog holes in them and you'll be fine screw the gt-40 heads on a stroker....you can do way better than that

I just saw that GT-40's were in my budget compared to trickflow, but I'll research the AFR's. My engine has EFI. . For the guy from TX, I so wish that was true.
