My 85 5.0 seems like it floods when I climb hills for more than a few secconds, or when I boot to pass sombody. Yet when I stomp on it to light up the tires I dont get the same issue. My carb is an edelbrock performer 650.

Is it flooding out? When it starts acting that way, is there alot of black smoke behind the car?

No smoke but I can smell fuel
