Default Can't find TFI Module ANYWHERE in my 84 1/2 GT

The car cuts off while driving - you stop and let it cool and it starts again for a few miles then cuts ff again. Does anyone know if the 84 1/2 GT has a TFI Module? I've looked all around the distributor and for any heat sinks. Can't find it.

^^^^^is it carberarted?? or CFI =central fuel injection/ meaning 2 injectors on top of 2 barrel carb looking thing....the air cleaner if it still has the dual snorkal on it will say efi, if that's the case then it'll have the tfi bolted to the side of the distributor, if it's carbed, it'll run the duraspark 2 ignition system, if that's the case you'll be looking for a square box on the driverside fender area in front of the strut tower, also CFI only came on automatic equipped 5.0's in 84-85

like I said, if it's carbed it won't have one, if it's cfi/efi it WILL have one, buddy owned one, the efi/cfi only came in the automatic equipped ones

Thanks for the info. I finally figured this out. I replaced ignition module, and ignition coil, but now I'm wondering about the pickup coil in the distributor which I read about.
It looks like it would be difficult to replace though. Perhaps I should just find a new Duraspark distributor??!!
