89 Gt with a couple issues
Ok guy's couple of issues I'm currently having with my 89 GT
1)Air Intake
I decided to reuse my JLT air intake tube from the wrecked 02. It needed to be shortened and the the two holes plugged but it's on and looks good. Problem is on start up since the switch it idles a click or two lower than previously and fights to stay running untill warmed up. Almost all ways it will cut off unless I give it some gas. I'm reusing the screen if that helps, the neg cable had been taken off. My butt dyno say's it was worth it to switch!
2a) Horn/cigarette lighter
I bought the horn kit from AM & replaced the foam & cleaned up the plate, the horn when plugged in is just 1 steady beeeeeeeeeeeeep until unplugged. Before buying the kit the horn didn't all ways work and eventually stopped working, so I replaced the blown fuse now it just blares.
I was told the wires can't be touching but he green wire is intertwined around the black & purple wire and I can't pull them off the "L" bracket to separate them.
2b) Lighter
Lights up but no juice, took the arm rest apart and inspected it no wires frayed or rusted, everything at the arm rest is plugged in. I didn't take the whole section apart thinking I'll unplug the lighter and take it to a parts store and buy a new one. Cheapest option 1st.

The lighter has a round center post with a 90 degree plug like the one on the temp sending unit on the intake manifold. It also has a Spade terminal on the outer body for a ground. One of them probably fell off. If the radio memory is working, then the fuse should be good.
