if there is any suction, it is very minute and i cant feel it. But i went ahead and changed the oxygen sensor because the wires were cut and spliced back together(like a car stereo), and now im getting codes 34 44 and 94. Where does this point me exactly?

44 and 94 are for the AIR pump. dont worry about those. the 34 is EGR valve position sensor. Be sure its plugged in. From what I can remember if the sensor is plugged in and the vac line is off the system just deletes the function and does not make the light come on. Sounds like you may need to start checking other things on the car. Check your firing order and make sure the dizzy is stabbed correctly. Double check timing also.

i just set the dizzy on tdc, it wasnt pointing exactly on number one spark plug, it was slightly off, but it was at 0 on balancer.. is that ok?my timing is set to about 8. and i am getting vacuum at idle from the line that plugs onto the egr. What does that mean? why is it getting vacuum when its not 'supposed to' be?

Thumbs up

THE FIX: For me it was clogged valves on the air solenoids, i cleaned all three of them out and tightened up some vacuum lines and it works fine now, no more vacuum at idle, only a very little. idles much better, still have a slight idle jump i can see at the gauge, but its 50 times better. Thanks for all the input and assistance to everyone.

Set your base timing to about 12-14*. Car will run a lot better. Just be sure it doesnt spark knock.
