Pulley alignment issue
Hey guys,
Here's what I have going on. I have a trickflow sfi harmonic balancer p/n 19007 installed on my 5.0. I went to install my under drive pulleys and the crank shaft looks to set back from the water pump about the width of one belt rib. It becomes more apparent that it's slightly off when I temporarily put the belt on. I tried just putting the stock pulleys back on and it doesn't change anything.
In doing some research I ruled out that it could be the water pump being too long as I was able to compare it to the old one(ran for three years before the engine was dismantled) and they are the same part number from advance auto.
The only thing left is the balancer in my estimation. Has any one dealt with this particular situation? What can I do to correct the problem? Any ideas are welcome.
