How to Dissolve Old Caked/Baked Coolant!?
Hey guys, I was trying to get the lower manifold off when the very last bolt/stud broke (the one on the driver side closest to the firewall). It is of course next to a coolant passage, so what is happening is the bolt is surround by caked/baked coolant so the bolt cannot turn. The bolt snapped flush with the lower manifold. I managed to dig a moon shaped hole on half of the bolt, but I was wondering what I can fill it with to dissolve the old coolant... any ideas besides PB blaster? I just went through this last week when I tried to take off the water pump, and I am not comfortable welding another nut on a snapped stud when it's in the head. Any advice? Thanks in advance!

Finally got it out. I literally had to dig it out with the smallest screw driver I own. PB blaster and Liquid Wrench didn't seem to help much. It took me 4 hours of sloooooooooooooow but consistent digging, but that bastard came out!
