Default Overspun the steering wheel; now no airbag

Hey guys, I was replacing my lower steering shaft so I removed the main steering shaft with the steering wheel still attached. When it was separate, without thinking, I spun the steering wheel. I heard a grinding and then a snapping sound. Oops :/ well now my buttons and air bag are not connected any more. I have already unplugged the warning beeps that go off when the airbag is disconnected but I would much like to fix it!

I know that I would need to remove the airbag, and then pull the steering wheel with a rented steering wheel puller. But searching through parts pages, I cannot find what I must have broken. I don't want to take the steering wheel off just to find that what I broke is a $400 part.

Anyone have tips?
Thanks!

Yeah! That's what I'm seeing. And supposedly each year was slightly different for the foxbody's. This is a big problem because I know a lot of my car is not original so I do not know if this is a 92 steering wheel on my 92 car. I was assuming I could take it off and then look at the numbers or labels on it and identify it. Just a guess.
