I have a 1992 mustang gt. I have noticed that I am having problems when car is just started. that I cant get into 1st or reverse without a lot of work. when car warms up it gets better. not sure if this is a fluid problem or what. could someone lead me the right way.thanks

Is this a new car to you or you've had it awhile and this problem just started to get worse? The shifting to reverse is a common problem but most guys will hit 5th then it will go into reverse much easier. As for first gear, have you adjusted your clutch lately? If that's fine, then it might be internal wear. Someone with more knowledge will chime in and narrow it down for you.

Try this! Before you shift into 1st throw it into 2nd! For reverse throw it into 4th then reverse! Also try letting out the clutch little by little until the gear goes in! These have worked for me with tired T5's! Good luck!
