Problems with jumping wire in the alternator harness
I bought an instrument cluster from Florida 50 and I need to do this but i dont know which one is the 12 volt injection wire. For the alternator to power up, you need to take the red 14 ga. Jumper wire found in the hardware bag and connect it between a 12 volt ignition wire in the harness a to the alternator wire light green/ red also in the harness. We suggest using the yellow Ttap on heavy gauge 12 volt ign. Wire ( that is a 12 ga. Wire) if this jumped connection is not made the alternator will not be energized.

Im trying to remember how my 93 was. I bought a panel from them also but im running a gm 1 wire and dont have that issue. From what I remember there was a green/red wire on one of the plugs to the stock cluster that ran to the alternator. There was also a larger red/green wire that had a blue fuse link on it that powered a lot of stuff from the ignition switch. I think it went to a splice and did something (cant remember). I do know that all of the red/yellow wires behind the dash are switch 12v. Those powered the stock gauges and a few other things. That wire might be okay to tap into but it only shows power in run or acc I believe. The larger wire I mentioned earlier (the red/green) is hot at both start and run. I used that on mine for a MSD and Fast stand-alone EFI.
