Default 95 a/c overheating issuse

ive got a 95 gt. so far i have changed on the a/c system the condenser accumulator the compressor has been rebuilt and the a/c hoses. i have replaced in the cooling system the radiator which is a 2 row aluminum and the fan assembly, both radiator hoses and thermostat (180 thermostat) and housing and the water pump. I had thought it was maybe due to a timing issue so i re timed it, it is now 10 degrees btdc. That did help a little it isn't overheating as fast or if its cool enough out side it will stay around 180. but if its hot it climbs up to 210 and passed 210. There are no leeks in the cooling system. My brother was saying that it could be the cylinder heads that are on it is causing it. they are off a Lincoln and have been milled down a bunch so i am clueless and need help.

could higher compression cause overheating when the ac is on? any other time with the a/c off it stays around 180 or just above it.

lol 210 is not over heating bud. Your still well with in normal at 220 even. I dont think the fans even kick on untill 215.

Can I ask what your basing your temp readings off of?

The stock gauges are junk IMO.

even if its getting closer into the 220 range? I'm not exactly sure what the temp is my gauge goes from 210 then there is a notch and then shoots up to 250 its been running at that notch in between the 210 and 250 and like i said it always runs around 180 with the a/c off.

usually after i let it get up to about 220 and park it i can smell the coolant and i can see that it has overflowed from the reservoir.

Your fan should be kicking on by then . If not it will continiue to climb.

If you have pretty much replaced all of the major things like radiator , water pump thermostat, then I suggest you get a hydrocarbon tester and check for the presance of exhause gasses in your coolant .

Blown head gaskets are notorius for causeing over heating that can not be explained otherwise.

i have replaced one head gasket once. Wouldnt a simple pressure test on the cooling system do the same thing? would more compression cause it to do this also?
