Default Crane ignition

Ive got a crane ignition system with a rev limiter. Sometimes when I'm in the high rpms (~6,000) it sounds like theres a governor on there... Is that the rev limiter? If so how can I adjust it so I can really push the rpms?

Thanks

it is the limiter. i know msd comes with different chips to set the rev limiter. check with crane, they probably do too.

Also, I'm thinking about making the switch to an MSD ignition with a new distributar, mines stock, does that seem wise?
