Default hood fitment issues and some custom q's

ok my hood wont clear my cowl vent on the way up when I adjust hinge so it will I pick the hood up a couple of times and bam same thing. I discover som structural damage to bolt plate the ore I djust the more it bends. any fix ideas. One I dea I hade was maybe a reverse hood hinge but I cant seem to find any kits for these cars, let me know if you know where to find them. I hate to get a new hood because I just had the car painted and found this when I was putting it back together.

We might need pics on this one. But just to clarify, you have the hood slid all the way forward on the hinges , toward the front of the car, bolted tight, and it still catches the cowl vent?

you may have to trim the rear of the hood. Not uncommon to have to do this on fiberglass hoods
