Just curious but what exactly do they offer over any other OEM strut thats half the price as far as drivability if you don't plan on racing them and using the adjustments? Cool factor? 90% of street racing is done from a roll and you wont be adjusting them for that.

OEM struts on a 79-95 Mustang are wasted by now. So even at the softest setting, these Strange struts work better than the stockers. But up around 8 or so (from 1-10), these Strange 10-ways are awesome on the street.
Love the strange struts on the turbo car but we race it and the adjustable setting are nice. When we get back on the street I just put back on stiff. But we race the car. I also like the Tokico's on my Cobra to but I cant adj. them LOL I got the car with them but if I was the one putting them on when they were changed it would have got the Strange again.

We're going to have to agree to disagree. I own the strange dampers on my current car. There is absolutely no difference in street drivability between them and a good stock type replacement damper. I just put Monroes on my daughters 98 GT and it handle better than my 95 with the strange set-up. There is no test data to prove that they will make your car handle any better because that is not their design purpose! I don't care if you set them to 8, 9, or 10! The only advantage they offer is there abilitity to be set to a softer setting to transfer weight on a drag launch. Saying they handle better at any setting is nonsense. Saying they handle better at the softest setting is ridiculous unless your referring to the original shocks that came with the car and now probably have 150K miles on them? That's what every kid needs. Their front end bucking up and down as the get on or off the throttle because they are to lazy or they think it's cool to leave them in the drag setting. There is a giant difference between a drag launch and corning. A soft suspension will just unweight the vehicle in a corner! Koni, Bilstein, KYB are all much better choices for a street car if your going to get into high dollar shocks. If your not planning on drag racing or doing some other type of performance driving OEM type replacement like Monroe is more than enough for a daily driver Mustang from the 80s. If your going to shot for an 12 second time slip I fully indorse the strange dampers. Almost everyone that recommended the strange dampers in this thread races their car at the track regularly.

Reason: grammar
My entire original point was that for $110 extra it was a good setup. I wasn't arguing the merits of the OP's car suddenly becoming a corner carver. Between my B springs and Strange struts I'd say my car handles dramatically better than stock, but... who knows how it would have been with OEM replacement stuff.
Anyhow, I'd say the OP has plenty of information now. But any strut./shock is not going to magically transform the car no matter what without some other additions.
