ran codes again. KOEO codes 121 and 212.

212-Ignition TACH signal was erratic (module/wiring) or SPOUT circuit fault – Ignition Systems (which makes sense since my tach moves around like its possessed.)

121-Throttle Position (TP) sensor out of range – TPS . (i will check it tomorrow!)

According to the computer it sounds like what it sounded like before... Your spout connector is messed up somehow.

TPS is a different issue that could also be hurting it. I'd fix the spout before moving on.

Should I just cut the spout connector off and attached both wires together and see if that helps.? I don't feel too good about doing that but if I have to I will.

Or pull the spout wiring out of the harness until you find a wiring failure like the guy in the Ranger video I posted did. It's going to be either a wiring failure or a connector failure. Only you can figure out which.

It could also be nothing, but the computer seems to think so and its literally free to check it out...

Soo I would have to rip my harness apart to separate the spout wires.? How far in do I have to go?

Without trying to sound like a smart-***, you have to go until it stops.

The entire loom is only a couple of feet unless I'm missing something. I had to do the entire tail light harness on a full size truck once and that wasn't hard either and it's like 14 feet long.

I would jump it first, like mjr suggested and see if you code goes away. If not, harness time.

Just be careful cutting any tape or anything so you don't cut any wires. Take your time.

Good luck.

ok. Soo i jumped the spout connector but no change. Now on good note i did run into a 2012 5.0 6spd with exhaust. On the 3rd honk we both went at it from about a 5mph roll. I did get the jump on him and when i hit 2nd he was about a car and half behind and once i hit 3rd he was at my back bumper... WOW my little stubbern -*** cobra did well.

Anyways soo i got back home and started ripping tape apart from the spout connector. From the TFI module to the fender. I did not find any burnt wires at all. So do i take off the inner fender plastic to get to the harness from the tire well? Also im puzzled because this sputtering only happens when car is warmed up and these wires im exposing are farther from the heat so how would they cause a short or melt being away from heat? Can my sputter be caused by something else? But then that 212 code reminds me that the sputter is probably caused by this. also when i was driving around i decided to take out spout just for fun. Car was really under powered but no sputter. which makes sense since there is no jumper on that line which also makes me believe that spout connector somewhere is bad. Here are piks. Also what is that tinfoil looking stuff and also whats that bare wire wrapped around colored wires? Doesnt look like anyone has ever messed with this harness, looks factory sealed. HELP! I know stealership will charge me and arm and a leg trying to figure out my problem.
