How much steering freeplay is too much on a 92 Fox 5.0?

For now I think I'm just going to replace the inner tie rods tomorrow morning. Will advise my progress.

I installed new inner tie rods this morning. Gonna get it lined up next week and flush that murky PS fluid and I should be good to go.

GM Type II pump with AN fittings FTW. No leaks or noise.

If the rack isnt leaking id keep it. Reman racks can be hit and miss. Also you get what you pay for when it comes to them.

My pump is whiney, but it's a loud little beast anyway. The rack wasn't leaking. At 67k miles, I don't know why the inner tie rods were so shot. The outter tie rods were fine.
