Default Transmission is done (for sure)

The transmission in my car is finally done and will not go into first or any other gear without revving it up high in which case I had a state trooper question me in a gas station for spinning the tires when it went into gear

Where can I get a t5 for cheap in Wisconsin if anyone knows

not going into any gear can be a clutch disengagement problem

Very much a clutch issue because it squeaks and or squeals when it does engage

4r70w is auto right and how much would a used one run me

Im going to assume that you have an auto trans. Since you say it wont go into gear with out revving it up. By chance have you checked the fluid level in it, or have you had the fluid and filter changed in the trans?

And since I don't know you or your mechanical knowledge I will tell you that to check the fluid the car needs to be running and up to operating temp. But with an auto trans the 2 most common reasons that it wont go into gear until you rev it up and why it makes noise are,, low fluid level , and dirty clogged trans filter. Of course it could be a bad pump in it as well.

I know plenty about mechanics and the fluid has been changed twice now since June because it continuously gets thoroughly burnt and the magnet in the pan is normally about half covered in metal

The fluid is full and the filter is brand new about a month ago

I think this was an automatic tranny from one of your earlier threads. Pull the dipstick and look at the color of fliud, then smell if it's got a strong burnt odor.

How many miles are on this car/ tranny ?

Edit: never mind lol, posted right after you. So your sticking with the auto, or T5 swap?
