Thanks for the link. Dizzy's out, teeth at the bottom look fine, it just doesn't want to go back in...

Should I get TFI tested before I put diz back in? I tried to start it cold this morning, revved up by itself then died.

Jeez, talk about a possessed car. Dizzy's can be a pain to get back in sometimes, just be gentle and patient.

Other than that, I don't think it's the TFI, unless there's maybe corrosion behind it making a bad contact. I'd also check all grounds and pull the "salt/pepper" connectors apart and clean and modify prongs.

Don't suppose you have a spare ECM laying around to swap out?

Thanks for the encouragement. Last time I did this was in my 72 LTD, the new diz almost fell into that 400, even had to re-stab a couple times with no issues.

I wondered when the S/P shakers were going to give me trouble, I'll try them, but TFI first before I drop the diz back in.

Dizzy back in, S/P shakers off and on. Looked fine, I tweaked the pins a bit JIC. No difference.
