I put in a T4MO ECU today and the engine stumbling went away.
Now it's time for a new tune.

Great news, glad to hear it's fixed.

How's the rest of the car ? Are you glad you did the swap ?

I just put brake pads and rotors on the front. Replaced the broken ABS sensor while I was there and got the light on the dash to turn off.

I still have to get a wiring harness for the T5 and hook it up. I got no backup lights, etc.

I am glad I did the swap.
Next project...more power.

Well, it's back up on jack stands.
The clutch isn't working properly. It was new last November and now it won't disengage.
Spring pressure seems weak and it won't fully release when I push the pedal.

Any suggestions?

I took out the trans. and don't see any problems with the clutch itself so I'm thinking maybe a new (non stock) quadrant and adjuster are in order. Right now it has a stock cable and factory quadrant in it.

comments? suggestions?

You probly need a little more preload on the throw out bearing. You can do it by adjusting the pedal to take the slack out of the cable using the stock quadrant by pushing the pedal down and holding the quadrant with a big screwdriver and then lift the pedal. It will click as you lift it up, and you only want to go about 2 clicks at a time. Note you must be a contortionist to do it because it requires you lay on the floor under the dash. Or you can get a firewall adjuster and new cable.

Thank you for your response.
I will try the preload idea with the stock quadrant as funds are in high demand right now.
I'll be replacing the quadrant and adding a firewall adjuster as soon as funding permits.
Looks like I'll be under the car again today.

The drivers seat is much more fun.

Well, I tried the adjustment idea with the stock quadrant. Here is what I found.

It is at the end of its adjustment, and because of that, when I tried to adjust it more I broke off the max adjustment stop.
The green indicates the range of adjustment.

I did get some adjustment on it but it still doesn't feel right and I don't trust it to hold up and not let me sit.

Wow. Your quadrant is definitely at the end of its adjustment. Maybe your cable is stretched?

Ok, I replaced the cable last eve.

Here's what I did to hold me over til the parts got here.

Well, that was the idea anyway. Turns out it didn't hold for more than a day and a half. Left me sit at a traffic light cos I had to keep adjusting it and ran out of adjustment again.

Here's why I ran out of adjustment...

That is where the header was making contact with the cable.

I got this new SR Performance setup from American Muscle. It came with instructions... if you need them.

I worked on it til 9:30 last night and got it done. It went without a hitch. What a difference.

I like the 2 minute clutch adjustment without tools idea.
