Default Oil Dip Stick question?

Im always freaked out that my level is so high? I put in 5 qts with new filter. Is this normal? Ill let the pics tell the story. My pan is stock. On the tube it goes down 1 inch. Normal length for the stick 23 1/2 which I have. The ford part # matches. Its about 1 inch over....

Thanks

Did you run the motor at all after the last quart was added ? It'll drop a little after you do. Otherwise, as stated, your fine.

not for nothing, 95gt has 2 drain plugs on the oil pan. not sure about your 93 but i assume its same.
just an fyi in case thats why its too high. although, the oil looks too clean to have any old oil mixed in.

Yea it has two plugs...took both off...To me it looks to high....My other explorers its on the full mark. My thought is maybe the stick goes to far down on tube. If you look at tube pic. Does your look the same as mine? on the tube.

For some reason all the 5.0 mustangs are like that (atleast foxbody anyway). I think someone said Ford put out a TSB about it but cant remember. As long as you put 5 qts in with a new filter you are fine. I took and made a new mark on my old motor just to keep an eye on it.
