Unhappy Push more boost?

I've bought a 70mm turbo and max Boost i can push is around 12 on my stock block which is a 302, 5.0 liter 94 cobra. I was told to upgrade my Camshaft and get forged pistons and i'll be able to push more boost. Is this true? What must i upgrade in my engine in order to push more boost and power through? I already have a 3' exhaust all the way down.

No. The stock block is the most likely thing to fail first. Get an aftermarket block and forged internals and run as mush boost as you want.
