I am looking to pick up a set of pre smog heads for my Fox. The casting is C90E, with 302 stamped inside by the rockers. I have tried researching and what I find is that they are 1969 351W heads. It don't make since to me because they say 302 by the rockers. Can someone help me out?? Also will this be a better head then what my 87 Fox came with??

not much of a better head......gain is marginal.......gt-40/gt-40p would better suit you

thank you, i was told gt40p heads were a good upgrade, just waying my options before i tackle the job

1969 302 closed chamber 58 – 60 cc’s, 1.78 in valve, 1.45 ex valve . .. same as D00E-B heads.

They are not an improvement.

if you run a higher performance with the gt heads, i would get new springs and mil them to around 58 cc's if you run premium gas . . alexes parts sells the springs.

Just curious but what's your budget OP? You'd probably be better served picking up a used set of performance aluminum heads off of eBay or Craig's list. I know it tuff going faster on a tight budget.

yes its kind of a tight budget. I do shop craigslist a lot. When I find something I come here to you guys and get direction on which way to go.
