Default Idle problem

I have a 91 GT converible,When I'm driving in any gear at about 2500-3000 rpms and I let off the gas it stays at 2500 rpms and won't go down. Stop the car rev it up and it still won't go down. Pop hood, unplug the idle control valve and it idles great. Can anyone help!!

Thanks

check your throttle linkage, sometimes they break and can cause it stick like that

Default Idle problem

Could be the thottle linkage! When the car is reving up I can turn it off and then turn it back on and it dosen't do it anymore. Does turning off reset something?

Thanks

try this before you do anything, clean out the throttle body assembly. it gets a lot of build up that can cause your idle to do wierd things. take off the cold air tubing, and reach into where the butterfly is, and cleand out all that crud
