Default Fuel pressure regulator vacuum line & PCV Valve Grommet

Hey guys, I have a two part question:

1. does anybody know where I can get a longer fuel pressure regulator vacuum line? I have a Trick Flow manifold and it seems if I go with an Aeromotive FPR, the vacuum line will be too short. Worst case I go with a BBK, but red would go better with my motor.

2. Does anybody know of a PCV valve grommet that ACTUALLY FITS a Trick Flow Track Heat intake manifold? I tried three different brands and they are either too tight or too loose. The one I have in their now you can yank in and out with little effort. I was doing a boost leak test to check for vacuum leaks and I cannot build more than 4 PSI because all the air goes straight out of the PCV valve grommet.

I made my own vacuum line for the FPR. Had some left over nylon hose, from the vacuum/boost gauge I bought, and put a couple ends on it. You can make it however long you need to. I ran it off it's own vacuum port on the intake, so it has dedicated vacuum.

I also had the same issue with the PCV grommet. I tried a few different ones, and none fit well on my lower intake. I ended up using black RTV to get a good seal. I just hope I don't need to remove it.

They way it's looking I'm going to have to use the RTV. A method I would like to avoid if possible, but sometimes you do what you have to do. I can't get past 5 psi and that's a problem. The pressure at 5psi shot the PCV valve & grommet out like a blow dart gun.

So I called Trick Flow and asked them what brand might fit. They said OEM Ford if you can find it, and that's about it. I called my local Ford dealer and asked them to get me one. They will have it tomorrow. If the Ford one does not work, I'm using the RTV method.

Have you had an issue with RTV black? Don't get me wrong, I'll go look at "the right stuff" after work, I was just curious.

So far, I have had no issues with the PCV grommet I sealed using the RTV Black. Built up enough crankcase pressure at the track Sunday to blow the dipstick tube out, but no oil out of the PCV valve area.

That's good to know. I'm confident that either will work just fine. I'll probably use it either way, but if I can get that OEM Ford one to fit tight, that would be the ideal situation.

I couldn't use a BBK regulator with my TrackHeat intake on the stock fuel rails. The OD was too big and hit the upper intake. I ended up using a Holley adjustable regulator which is the same size as the OEM unit.

The PCV valve should shut off under boost, should it not? Perhaps you need a better valve. Besides, the boost should stay in the cylinders, not the crankcase.

Seriously about the regulator? I JUST purchased one off craigslist for 60 bucks. I hope it fits. Also, I'm not boosting. I'm just using a boost leak test to check for vacuum leaks.
