hello to all, i just put my t5 back together and i am having issues with first gear... i have the trans on my bench with the shifter installed making sure all the gears work and when i put it in first i can not turn the shaft... second thru fifth spin nice.. when i put in it reverse the shaft spins but is nothy.. any ideas please

you've installed something wrong then.....take it back apart and inspect 1st gear installation...also I use a yoke that I have as a spare to spin output shaft, using your hand often won't cut it.

Sounds to me like you misplaced a spacer behind first gear and its catching the case. Youll have to pull the tail housing and shift fork plate and make sure the first gear is not making contact with the case.
