Default 95 Cobra Vert

Good Morning, I'm currently still saving/searching for a cobra. I did happen to find a nice 95 vert, had some questions about what to look for and if any shops are still tuning an OBD1?

Thanks,
Patrick

no real tuning to do on them until you get kinda extreme....the ecm for the most part can adapt to mods such as h/c/i's I mean you can fine tune and get better drivability with your own tuner but no real shops are gonna tune for drivability as it'll be costly for you as a customer.....all they do is tune via an sct chip and mostly its for WOT.

*Ahem*...

For one, the factory Cobra map is actually quite terrible. The injector slopes are wrong, right out of the factory. The fuel maps are overly rich to compensate for the poor injector settings. The timing map leaves alot to be desired when considering MBT.

There are ALOT of things that can be adjusted for better performance, even on a stock car.

And OP, Yes... There are people out there who still tune the OBD1 cars. And we tune them for driveability too.

Keith, I think you know what I was getting at when I said what I said......when I said no real tuning to do..........I meant just that, without the aid of a PROGRAMMER, you're not gonna be able to alter those tables that can be adjusted to improve performance......so the average joe can only rotate the distributor and that's it as far as adjusting for a bone stock car without the aid of some aftermarket stuff. And with that, I agree you can improve performance on a stock cobra car.
