Oh don't worry, I'm doing it that way next time. I just hope I didn't do any damage to the motor.

op - Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having nailing everything down here but it's sounding like you're working in the right direction. Have you shot Bama a call about this at all? Their guys have built some pretty ridiculous 5.0's over the past few years and I'm sure they'd be happy to get a tune on this for you. Let me know if there's anything I can do on my end to help out in the meantime.

FWIW, i wouldn't let Bama tune my radio.

I've seen what you guys sell as "tunes". You should re-label it as "toons".

I didn't have time to pull the lower manifold off because before I put some fresh oil in it (with some seafoam), did a coolant pressure test, and a compression test. By the time I finished I had another appointment and I had to put the sockets down.

When I pulled the upper off "chocolate milk shake" came out of the vacuum lines. I stuck a camera down to the valves and all looked clean, but there was some coolant in cylinder #7. Surprisingly, the radiator stayed at 16 PSI and did not drop.

The compression test went as followed:

1. 100
2. 0
3. 165
4. 155
5. 0
6. 0
7. 170
8. 140

The radiator PSI stayed the same for all cylinders except for #7 where the pressure went up from 16 PSI to 17 PSI. Cylinder #7 also continued to spray out coolant for each test.

Perhaps the push rods are too tight? I did half a turn past zero lash, maybe I should do it again, loosen all the push rods for a half hour, and do quarter of a turn then redo the compression test. When I did a compression test 6 months ago with the stock heads, my lowest number was 185 and my highest was 195.

Tomorrow I will finished taking the lower off and see whats up. So far I was thinking that it was just the lower manifold, but signs seem to be pointing to a head gasket. I find this astonishing because I used a composite head gasket. WTF!?

his issue has nothing to do with a tune......coolant in the oil as stated by 64bit it most likely is a intake gasket issue.....so the op has no need to waste his time calling bama to straighten pout a mechanical issue......which tunes don't fix fyi
