Default ECT help

I am in the process of replacing the ECT senor on my '94. I like to use OEM parts for things like this. I ended up with a Motorcraft kit form a dealer.

It looks like this:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/ford-t...nsor-8395.html

Those short connectors in the kit do not appear to fit in the original pig tail. I do not understand the instructions it came with. I even tried getting some male bullet connectors to hook the wires to the pig tail but they were too large as well. Any insight?

Thank you in advance.

the new pigtail that came with the kit needs to be spliced into your vehicles harness, this will convert it to the new style sensor(by the looks of it). its pretty straight forward, but if you dont have experience with wiring repair it might seem complicated at first glance.

^ To be clear, you are saying I need to cut the factory connector off, and splice the new wires directly to the wires that used to plug it to the rear of the connector?

Well I feel dumb. Those instructions are the same that came with the kit... I missed that part, I see it now. Splicing the two together won't be a problem. Thanks man, I appreciate the help.
