header gasket troubles..
Ok so I have these bbk headers.. and I noticed there was no gaskets.. so I asked which ones I needed and someone said felco 1445.. not sure if that's rite but they cross referenced and got me somthing they said would fit... and since they are long tube I cannot get them out without a hoist.. well I put the gaskets in and only on the drivers side I can he as r and feel a leak like on top of the header... any suggestions?

Did verify the header flanges were not bent or twisted ?
If so, then just redo the connection being careful to force anything on. Which is kinda hard to do on the driver's side I know, but patience will pay off. I've also heard of some guys doubling up the gaskets .

First thing. Go back and make sure you don't have any loose bolts. If it's still leaking after youve retorqued everything. You have a couple of options. You can double up on the cheap gaskets your using or you can go to a more expensive dead soft gasket.

Yes, bolt up the headers first, then work your way back for the rest of the exhaust. Leaving all connections loose (except the headers) for final alignment. Then tighten everything.
You may need longer header bolts.

that model of felpros only works if the headers are perfectly flat.
