95 GT runs bad, stalls need help
Hey everyone!
I have a 95 GT auto and it runs awful. have a 176 code and here is what I've checked.
compression cold was all between 122-126
maf is fine
Both o2's are switching
Fuel pressure is fine
filters all changed
new plugs, wires ,distributor cap and rotor
clean the intake and injectors
What I did notice is that I pulled of the #3 injector connector and the crappy idle didn't seen to change at all. How can I check the connector and injector? Any help is very appreciated.

You can see if the injector is getting power with a light or meter as mentioned above. But that only tells you that you have power there.
The injector could simply have a bad coil and its not responding or it could be plugged up.

Im sure you can check the field coil on each injector with an ohm meter. I cant remember right off hand what the ohms should read but iirc they should all fall in the 16-17 ohm range. You will need to pull the upper intake plenum to test them all.
If you have an injector that does not read, or reads way off the scale from the others then its likely bad. Did you run a cylinder balance test on it? That would show a severe misfire due to fuel delivery or spark of a particular cylinder.
Have you cleaned the MAF? Or how did you come to the conclusion that it is good?
Code 176 indicates lean on left bank,
Inspect for vacuum leaks , Inspect for exhaust leaks at the header before the 02. Inspect for leaks in the cold air intake piping.
This could be as simple as a failed ECT sensor. Does this stalling, missing condition occur in both a hot and cold engine? Engine must be at full operating temp to perform Koeo/koer and cylinder balance tests.
How ever, I doubt that its a bad injector.

Did not do a cylinder balance test. MAF was Cleaned, o2's are 3 months old. I sprayed for vacuum leaks and had replaced 5 hoses that just looked old. The stalling happens only when the car has been warmed up. I bought "special vacuum hoses which now I dont know if they are correct, that's why I was begging somebody to take pics of their vacuum lines. No luck of course. I f i unplugged an injector and there was no change in the crappy idle then why do you think it's not an injector? Also do you know anybody or where I can get a GOOD pic or 2 of these vacuum lines?
