88' Mustang clutch job, now surging and running rough.
Hi all, i have an 88 mustang, this weekend i replaced the clutch. : removed tranny and driveshaft together, removed y pipe, bell housing, spedo sensor and starter. Everything went smooth and i did not remove the flywheel at all, got it off the ramps and started it up and it now runs really rough, it also idles very low and lopes, if i don't give it gas it will die, what would cause this?

Did the 02 sensors or the wires take a mistaken hit or yank? You could pull codes to see if there's a fault code for them.
If nothing got dinged or yanked on, try a base idle reset and see if that helps at all.
Welcome to the forum by the way, glad to have you.

Just an update for everyone. Went under the car yesterday morning, nothing was pinched or broken looked around for a while, gave up, and went back to it after a few hours, happened to look up by the firewall and there was a vacuum line that was unplugged (no idea how it could have possibly gotten unplugged) not sure if it fixed itself or if that vacuum line was the reason as i never decided to pull the vacuum line off again to see if it idled hard, but thanks for the inputs!
