Default Valve train

Hi i have a 89 mustang gt foxbody. And i think i did the roller rockers wrong beacuse i start the car and the whole engine shakes bad. And it backfires. Also it dies/stalls. I could really use some help. Also, im new to this forum. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

1st, Verify you installed the wires correctly, sounds like a couple may be crossed. That would be the easiest check right now.

2nd, Verify the dizzy was installed correctly, it's easy to be off one tooth if you didn't mark it before removal.

If that doesn't help go back in and make sure valve lash was adjusted correctly.

not enough info op......need more info...like pedastal or stud mount? what heads? what all was removed by you to install said mod....ect ect.......

I took them off to chamge head gaskets. Everything is stock. The heads and rockers and pushrods are all stock.

you don't have roller rockers then, you have pedestal mount stamped steel rockers and they just bolt back down/torque to spec............difficult to screw that up.......check firing order

Okay so ill just torque them to spec. Is it 20 foot pounds? From the factory. And for the firing order is it 1,5 or 1,3 to start it off on the cap. Again thanks for the help!
