Default Codes 44 and 94!!!!

Hey all,

I'm getting codes 44 and 94 on my 91' GT. It runs like **** at idle. I've done a lot of research and want to do everything I can to try to fix this before wasting my money at a shop when I could have fixed it. It could be for the TAB/TAD solenoids because the codes are for both. It could also be a clogged crossover tube. I'd like to try to clean that out and see what happens. There's a chance it could be the o2 sensors as well. I don't know if it's worth mentioning but I've also got a high flow catted h-pipe. All help and advice is needed and appreciated. Thanks guys.

90% of the time when our motors run like crap, a vacuum leak is what's causing it. The rubber lines degrade over time and become brittle and crack, or just disintegrate into nothing. Allowing unmetered air in and screwing AFR up. Even the smallest leak will have an affect. If your positive you have no leaks, usually a smoke test to verify, then start chasing the codes. Good luck

88 orangepeel is there an affordable smoke device out there? I've seen a couple of cheesy cigar DIY units on youtube. However, all the commercial units I've seen are in the hundreds. I'm pretty sure I have a vacuum leak that I cannot find with visual inspection. I've been waiting to see if I could find an affordable tool, but so far no dice.

Success with the smoke test. Plugged up vacuum leaks and got rid of 44 and 94. Got code 22 now, BAP sensor out of range. I'm going to replace it and see what happens. Hopefully it works.
