Default Metal splash shields?

Ive been having an expensive problem lately with my '95 cobra, and that's that i kinda drive insanely fast and my splash shields keep imploding in and get shredded by my tires, now I know some of you may say to just take them out alltogether, but i have a CAI and am a bit afraid of the filter getting soaked on a rainy day and causing big issues. Another reason i'd rather keep them is I have yet to go tubular and it just looks bad down there right now.

I've looked everywhere i can think of and asked several shops and can't find ANYWHERE that makes or even remotely knows of metal splash shields existing, if anyone has any knowledge on where to find or even some harder plastic ones that can stand up to 160mph it would be greatly appreciated

Dont know of any. You might have to reinforce the stock ones with some metal riveted or screwed to them.

Just curious, where are you getting up to those speeds ? If they're on public roads, it's best you not answer lol.

Probably the track. In which case, I'd consider going without the splash shields altogether.

That's what I thought at first too, but when he said he's worried about the rain, it got me thinking lol.

Its because i use the same car for both track and on the strip, quick change in tune helps go back and forth, too expensive to have a daily driver AND a racecar haha, plus it'd be a bit hard with the military always moving me around

You might want to consider removing them at the track, and re-installing them before getting back on the road. I know it's annoying, but if by chance you're running dedicated race slicks, then you're pulling the wheels off all the time anyway.

Ahhhh, I see. A legitimate street car that runs 160 in the 1/4. I don't run into those very often lol. Congrats on that, sounds like a great set up.

Also, thanks for your service to this country, it's appreciated.
