1995 Mustang GT- Door Hinges: Rebuild or Replace?
1995 Mustang GT, 172,000 miles
My car's driver door is sagging, and rides on the striker when closing. The lower hinge looks to be worse than the top, but I intend to take care of both hinges anyway. The passenger door doesn't have anywhere near as much wear, so I'll just be doing the driver's side.
The access on this one looks very poor. It looks like I might have to unbolt the hinge assembly to work on it, and I'm concerned about screwing up the door alignment. I've done pins+bushings on other vehicles without having to realign anything, but I'm not sure if that's going to be an option here.
The other problem is that the lower hinge's roller is worn out, and will not hold the door open. I want to address this while I'm at it, but I can only find roller kits for the older Foxes. Can I rebuild this one, or do I need a whole new hinge?

I looked on the Interweb just for the fun of it, and your right !!!
Sounds like your only option is to replace the entire hinge assembly.
There are no roller pin kits specific to the SN cars, Seriously???

You have to use a dremel tool to cut the old hinge pins out , and a way to balance the door, but it can be done.

I think that's what I'll do. I'll take my Dremel to the top hinge's pin and rebuild it in-place with new pin+bushings.
But as for that lower one, I still can't find a roller/check for it, so I'm not going to bother putting a new pin in. I'll just get a new hinge assembly instead.

Just did pins and bushings on mine. Does sound like you will need a lower hinge. Couple of issues. I took my door off and the electrical connectors inside the car by the fuses are a pita. Also the replacement bushings were 12mm so I had to buy a metric set of drill bits. Only could find online. Finally, mark your hinge position on the door with a grease pencil. Will really help with alignment.

Oh, I know what you mean about those electrical connectors. I recently had to chase down a broken wire, and I gave up on trying to unplug those connectors while trying to narrow down the issue. (I eventually found some broken wires in the door-to-body boot.)
I wouldn't remove that door unless it was absolutely necessary.
