Default low 408w rwhp dyno number..please look and help

I ran my car today and managed 326hp and 350 tq at the wheel through a AOD with 3600 converter. I know the converter and AOD are eating some HP but I was exspecting more.

408W all forged balanced and blueprinted 10.5 to one

twisted wedge 11r heads 190cc

holley terminator efi

stealth intake

cobra style air cleaner

1 5/8 headers

link bar lifters

roller cam 218/226 571/566 with 110 separation at .50

march serpentine set up

2.5 exhaust with dynomax mufflers

I would think this combo would be closer to 375 and 400 tq.

thanks

What type of dynometer was it, dynojet or mustang (or other)? Mustang dynos read lower than dynojets.

Those #'s do seem way low. Was this after tuning the Holley EFI ? Or was this the just a baseline pull ?

Or the converter is skewing the numbers. Any chance of a couple 1/4 mile passes in the future ? That will tell the truth.....

take it to the track, a dyno is a tool not a indication of how fast car is

you need to log more info on the dyno, air temp, air/fuel ratio, timing, etc. any of these will effect power, not to mention did the fuel injection learn all it needs, it may take a while for it to dial itself in all the way

I am with the rest of the guys take it to the track. But I will say this I think the intake is wrong. put a victor jr on it. and the headers are to small for a 408. That thing needs lots of air. IMO

The headers are holding it back some I'd say.

Kinda seems to me youve got a big motor but the heads, intake, and headers are holding it back. Ive got the same heads with a trickflow intake and 1-5/8" LT headers on a 331 and I made 350 hp on a mustang dyno with the timing incorrect. Running a holley dominator efi on mine.

Sounds like you need to do some more tuning on it but those hard parts might limit you some.

I'd bet the headers and an air gap or a Victor intake will get you where you want to be.
