Hello All, Scuzzy here and I been looking for a Lower Gear for my Rear on my 98 6, it has a 2:73 and I found a 2002 with a 4.60 in it and the Door tag says a LE Axle, is that a 3:27 Limited Slip? Hope I am doing this Right! U never met anybody as Computer Illiterate as I! Thanks and I am sorry if I did Wrong! Scuzz

Scuzz again, if I got a 2:73 Rear is it worth changing to a 3:27? Taking it out and $100, is it worth it or should I try to find something lower? Thanks again! Scuzz

On the home page of this "79-95 Tech" section, there's a button labeled "New Thread". Click on that when you have a question. That's where you want to go instead of hijacking threads and digging up old ones.

Okay I'm revisiting this as it's still a problem. I have 3.73s that's for sure, putting in a new speedo gear did nothing. I took apart the gauge cluster and looked at the gears behind it and couldn't see anything broken or stripped. I reached out to odometer specialists in Louisiana and they told me since damage to the gears is very obvious, I may have a bad ground connection...but I don't know where that ground is.

(Edit):

Successfully fixed.

Taking it apart and putting it back together!! I think maybe the speed sensor was loose on the back of the speedometer and once I took everything apart and put it back together it started working again...and 100% accurate radar confirmed.
