Default Ignition

Can anyone please help. Every now and again i start my car and starter will stay engaged until i pull ground terminal on battery. I have replaced the regulator on fender well but still does it. Not all the time just sometimes. Also my battery light keeps going on and off. And battery and alt are new. Also when i put lights or heat on i hetva major drop in voltage. Esp with heat turned on. Could both problems be related

It could help to know what year the car is,, one thing that can cause your problems is corrosion or poor connections on your cables someplace. Check all of your ground locations for bad connections, and make sure all cables from battery are clean and corrosion free. Same with where the cables mount to on the body and engine. Inspect the plug on the alternator for frayed or loose connections corrosion etc.

I second the poor connections. Make sure they are good and clean. If you still have the issues you might have some bad new parts.
