I dont beleave it to be a joke just because it wasnt as fast as some thought it would be. Ford really had not made a performance v8 sedan for a few years before. "The Taurus SHO"Marauders are really nice cars and just because they were not as fast as you hoped you should not put it down. They fixed the performance problem with the Marauder S anyway. Its expensive but so cool. 460 horsepower and 450 lb-ft torque.

The Vic and Merc does not have 260 hp.

They both pull something like 220 base model and 239 in the higher model. The 239, with the lower gearing, (something like 3.29 vs 3.09), does 7.9 seconds 0-60. These boats weight 4200 lbs! The 5.0 does a 6.8 or something. Not sure about the quarter mile.

The marauder lacks torque! can't even spin the tires without brake torqueing it, or the harmful revving in N and dropping into D. how fast is that thing? Some say it hits 60 in 6.5 seconds, a bit hard to believe.

Well I have an article where they got a stock one to a 14.77 @ 95.07 mph

As for the S, that thing goes 0-60 in 4.4 seconds

The Marauder's 0-60: 7.5sec(magazine test) and 6.8sec(another mag). Then again a stock 5.0 Mustang with 3.08s will win with 0-60: 6.1-6.5sec and 1/4mile of: 14.5-14.4sec or so.
