turbos have to spool up. ussually won't kick in until about 3000RPM also not very cost effective every turbo system i see is in a pure drag car

go with superchager. they are less expensive and there are more to chose from.

You are a complete dumbass and right to speak has been removed untill you can proove you deserve otherwise. A blower is mechanically attached to the engine, and there for is RPM based primarily, as well as the fact that if you run a pully large enough to have max boost during mid/low RPM range you'll overboost and blow the motor in the high RPMs. All blowers make parabolic boost.

A turbo hits and maintains max boost....and if you size correctly can make a full boost down low (below 2500 RPM) with plenty of power.

As far as your nitrous comment......dude.......you are an idiot. See first sentence.

You totally don't have a damned clue what yo'ure talking about.

Roots blowers...maybe. Centrifugals, hell no (the most common type).

The motors can handel a 100 shot of nitrous no problem stock. I've heard of people running 150's left and right on stock motors though.

Turbos are throttle referenced, mash it....instant boost.

Twin turbo setups are either sequential or parallel. Sequential is what baja described, small one for down low, big one for higher. Don't believe that that's the only way they work. Parallel allows you to achieve the same amount of boost with much smaller turbos, allowing quicker spool up and virtually no lag.

Turbos will also allow you to cruise with no boost, saving fuel.

i dont know where you are getting this instant boost stuff from man...turbos and blowers both lag...but if your refering to driving around at high rpms with the the throttle closed, of yourse your gonna have instant boost when you give it gas and the bypass valve/wastegate shut. but maybe i just misunderstood what you said, and im sorry if i did.

well mine is instan hp all the way up to 6600 and I'm spinning about 46000 rpm on it so I have a lil left...only thing I don't like about the turbo is the heat and the extra $$ for a cooler....but they make good power..however I'm not fond of the roots system

100th....look into turbo sizing. Turbos can be sized to have even better response than the all mighty eaton.

Because the class only allows Eaton blowers.

Centrifugals and turbos are not allowed.

Good try though

dohc- why does every other kind of boosted race car not limited to roots mainly use turbo?
