Default 7.5 to 8.8 inch swap....

i was completing my swap last night when i ran into a problem. my shocks from the 4cyl do not connect to the 8.8 inch rear axle. i now need to buy new rear shocks, but im unsure if i get the 5.0 shocks and if they will fit in the 4 cyl car or not. any ideas from someone who has compeleted this swap and had to deal with this? thanks.

yeah actually i went to my local mustang performance shop and bought some new kyb gr-2's for a 5.0 for the front and rear because the old ones from the 5.0 L stang were crap. i checked just to make sure they will work and they will so everything good and im going to finish up the swap tomorrow. thanks guys.

yeah about the quad shocks, im leaving them off, so i dont even have to worry about them, but thanks.

yeah im actually having a friend (who has 3 FOX stangs) to help me with it all. he said that i will not experience wheel hop b/c of a weight that i took off my rear differential. he has it done to most of his stangs and he drags them quite often. but i will be sure to ask him one more time just to make sure. i also was up at my local stang shop yesterday and they guys up there (who can answer any ? i have) told me i would be fine. but i will contact them and make sure. thanks for letting me know the possible consequences of the missing quad shocks.
