Default Ignition Module 88GT

I'm not sure which Ignition module came stock on the 88GT, does anyone know? Also where exactly is located?

the part # on the stock module is E6SZ12A297A ..... it is actually located inside the distributer housing

Default Ignition Module 88GT

its on the dist. not in it. costs around 50bucks for a new one.if you have to changed it make sure you put dielectric grease on before you mount it or it may prematurly short out


and i though you were gun ho about carbs. so why do you still have one????

yeah...sorry, its held on by 2 srews into the side of the housing....the list price of it at the dealer is $122.22

Default Ignition Module 88GT

Ok well I have a fireball ignition coil and I want to replace the module itself with an msd racing module... thanks for letting me know
