YES ALWAYS USE THE THICK RUBBER GASKETS!Cork is junk. When i put my engine together i used the motorsport valve cover stud kit.Its nice to be able to put the gasket on and then the valve cover rather than try to line up the gasket bolt and hole and keep everything in place.

Not to mention those rubber gaskets dont absorb the oil and eventually start to leak, and theyre reusable.

I have the trick flow intake as well, and am using a 3/8 spacer... do you think I would clear the valve covers with just the 3/8? or myabe I don't even need that... can you let me know?

yes you can do the dremel idea. we had to do it with my buddies setup. he bought a set of morso and they were to tall for the cobra intake. he would of neededa spacer then a differnt hood. his covers are stockones with 1.7 rockers
