I meant embarassed as far as being beat by that much.Being beat by that much is somewhat of an embarassment in my opinion. But i meant it as a figure of speech.</P>

But i hear you on that i definately am not a quitter either i cant let a failure go.If i take on the project i am married to it until im finished.</P>

4-6 car lengths is an embarrasment??? This is how i look at it we have the same set up like i said cept for the mass air and he has a 5 speed so he can stall to wherever he wants. Mass air is ur typical 10-15 bolt on horse power which is normally a tenth of a second. And i have heard stall converters can be like 4-5 tenths ofa second off quater mile times. and then im sure he has advanced timing which is another tenth. if you add that all up its 6 tenths of a second so i think we r running bout what we should. his car ran a 8.65 in the 1/8th mile. o and about the tires he didnt have slicks just regular radial tires and they werent like huge wide or ne thing bout the same as my 245-50-16s.</P>

as far as a MAF actually adding that much hp you been reading the info to much. by just adding a MAF isnt going to give you that much power. if matched with the right combot then it will produce power. wrong setup and loss of power.

you have to remember anything happens on the street. and a decent driver over a normal driver makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE. if you cant drive then your gonna lose all the time.........that was refering to 'anyone'

take him to the track, much safer and better. i say better cause he wont jump the start on you and you will know how much you need to improve to beat him.

Default Question for you all???

well it depends on if the mass was the restriction and how much so
like on my s/c I went from a 73mm mass and a 65mm t/b to a 90mm mass and a 75mm t/b and was worth 56hp about 5.1psi that was the only change except for fuel pressure which needed to be up'd 15 pounds<edited><editID>vfast</editID><editDate>37998.648587963</editDate></edited>
