Default When car sits for running for about 2-4mins idle will drop and car then runs crappy, help!

I will be sitting at a red light and my rpms will drop from 700 to about 4-500 and then the car will run not normal, a little sluggish and it does this until i turn the car off and then when i turn it back on it will be ok until the car sits awhile and the same thing. Any ideas?, (im just glad my big problem is fixed)

Check engine light????Maybe try to get the codes pulled and see what you come up with, any place with a obd1 code scanner can do this for you and its much easier then trouble shooting and guess work..

That would be the best bet, just to see if you're car is throwing any codes. If so you can go from there it will be so much more easier then trying to "Find" what it is..

Well my coolant sensor is bad, but this wouldnt cause the missing etc would it?

Update:
Im a extremely frustrated. Ok so this morning same thing missing stumbling all over the place while driving around town, I get home and call my stepdad who is a mechanic and I decide to take it to his shop. On the way there runs fine. He checks some things, including a check for codes. No codes. Then I take him for a ride and nothing the car runs fine. WTF!!! On the way home also runs fine. I dont get it.

I starting to think the colder my car is the worse this problem is, and I believe its getting worse everyday. My car bucked/stumbled all the way home from work, all through the driving range. Its almost unbearable to drive, Im about to get whiplash from this.

VFast, are talking about the coolant level or temperature sensor? BC my coolant level sensor is on the downfall, the sensor is deteriorating.

I had the same problem with my 91 and it neded up being the TP sensor. Unplug it if it runs a little smoother than thats your problem.
