Default Dipstick gone bad?

After my oil change today (I got all of the oil out of the crankcase BTW), I put 4.5 quarts of oil in and some CER lifter lube/cleaner (about .25 of a quart) in there. My dip stick is reading about 1.5 quarts over now and I am sure that I am not over full, could the dipstick be pushed in too far, idk, anyone ever had this problem? This is really hard to explain lol.

My '88 was also marked wrong. After you put the oil in it. Take out the dipstick and run a file mark at the point where the oil line is.

There are two plugs in the pan.

One toward the back and another in the very front of the pan.

it took forever to drain the oil today i didnt even realize there was a second plug... i only did the one that faces directly down and it seems as though all the oil came out just took a little longer?

Yup there's a second plug, I had neglected it my past 4 oil changes but this time I used it and drained another .5 of a quart out. So should I get a new dipstick? It's almost as if the dipstick pushes too far down into the tube and is reading about a quart over where it should be, like I said I only added 4.5 quarts and the lifter cleaner was only about .25 of a quart. Maybe I'll get a new dipstick and see if that helps any.
