Default anyone ever have a problem with a k member swap?

I bought a QA1 K member from Summit Racing, and after getting the whole thing swapped, I cannot get the steering rack to line up right. The steering shaft is 1 inch too short after the swap! Also it seems like the engine mounts will not fit properly. The one side where the little nub is below the stud for the mount is not allowing enough room to put a nut on it, and the other side where the nub is to the side of the stud, it doesn't go in the groove for the new k member. I have had nothing but fitment problems all due to the Moroso 7 qt oil pan not clearing the factory k member. It seemed like it was either change the k-member, or the oil pan, or machine the driveshaft and transmission crossmember. Any input as I am getting very frustrated. The engine has been in the car for a month in the wrong place, and now there are still problems.
