What type of spedo gear do I need if I have 3.08 gears. 92gt spedo used to bounce then I replaced the cable and now it is too slow.

Sevorg, how hard was it to replace the cable? I have a 91GT that does the same thing.

It sucked getting the cable to go through the firewall (you will probably want two people for that). And in my case I have larger aftermarket exhaust so it was a beeotch getting the speed sensor (what the cable hooks into)to fit in the trans just right, because the exhaust gets into the way. <---lots of cursing. You will also need one of those hex keys I beleive to get the gage cluster out. Note the angle of the windsheld in relation to the top of the gage cluster. You will need a short one or one that has a 90degree turn in it to get the screws loose. But other than that it was pretty easy I'm a lousy mechanic. oh yeah have fun getting your hazard and headlight swithes to come out. I think you can slide a flat head down the side of them to get them to unclip. Don't crack the plastic things they snap into or they will never sit fixed in the cluster. And be careful unplugging the wiring harnesses from the back of the cluster dont yank it out.

I figured out that it was only 5 or 6 miles off is that enough for a new gear or is there something wrong with my gage cluster.Oh yeah what is the right tire size for the stock 5star wheels. found out that it is 225-55-16 I got 205-55-16 on the car. the "205" thats the tred depth right? that wouldnt make my speedo off would it?<edited><editID>sevorg</editID><editDate>38008.5603356482</editDate></edited>

in aaa/bb/cc the aaa is the tread width in mms,bb is the sidewall height (height/tread width), and cc is rim diameter

I have the 225-55-16. I'm not sure, but I do think that could throw you off a little.
