Default engine randomly reving itself

ok heres probably your prblem... 02 sensors arent it cause im running my 86 GT without both of em till i buy new ones and its fine just runs rich... sounds to me leaking from one of your hosesor your egr valve throttle postioner valve... to check if its your tps or tpv smack the top of it with a screw driver if it your car shuts off then its bad.. the egr valve i dont know how to check..but try to adjust your throttle on the intake to fix it it might help... but changing a clutch shoudlnt affect the engine so you must of either forgot to hook something up or cracked a hose or vaccum line...

if ya want to elminte the vaccum go illegal and disconnect your smog pump

to check yout tps you need to turn the car on, then knick the orange and green wire. put your leads on it. and set you meter to dc volts. at idle it should be set at .92 -.94 for stock. for performance it should be set at .99 - 1.0.
to adjust you need to loosen the screws and move aound the sensor to it reads. you might need to elongate the holes to get the right voltage.

to check your EGR valve you take it out and shake it. if you hear itmoving inside then it is good. if you dont hear anything you need a new one.
